Professor Bojan Guzina, A.M. ASCE, has been chosen to receive the 2019 Nathan M. Newmark Medal for “seminal work on theoretical and computational methods related to wave propagation and inverse scattering problems, with applications to the imaging of biological and engineered systems.” The medal, which is awarded once each year by ASCE’s Structural Engineering Institute and Engineering Mechanics Institute (EMI), was presented at the EMI Conference, Caltech, Pasadena, in June 2019.
